Cut-Out Detailing

This dress comes from another great collaboration; Catherine Malandrino teamed up with Kohl's September of last year and presented her 80 piece collection that was sold both online and in stores.  I managed to snag this dress for just under $90.  The sheath style dress with a leather appearance and cut out detail is presented with a contrasting underlay dress.  This piece took its cue from her very similar high end leather cut out dress, but of course with a much more affordable price tag. Although somewhat delicate because of the cut out detail, I think the construction was good considering the detailing and price.  Wears and shows really nice too.  I have a nice collection of dresses, but I must say this is one of my favorites and a WINNER in Catherine's collection!

Styling Tip
When you have a good bit of detailing less is more.  In my opinion you don't need overstated accessories because the dress is really the show piece.  So I added just a simple pop of color for my handbag and decided to go translucent with my sunnies, bracelet, and shoes. Teamed together it presents with a bit of interest without going overboard or losing the main focus - The Dress of course!

A sheath style dress cynched in at the waist with your favorite stretch belt...I've said this before - one of the best ways to have that hour-glass figure is to add a belt.  A stretch belt does the trick best worn at the high waist (not low waist).  This belt has been worn a million times...I just can't leave it alone cause I love it so and it does exactly what I need it to do with each and every wear! ;-)

What I'm Wearing Today
